Purpose of the Job:

 

Responsible for compilation of monthly GST returns, monitoring and follow-up for GST compliance.

Core Requirements

 Technical and Interpersonal Skills Requirement –

1.      To manage the team strength of 15 or more people

2.      Technically advice the client for regular indirect tax query

3.      Coordination with clients and local associates for GST Compliance

4.      Preparation and verification of computation of tax liabilities of the clients on periodic basis and coordination with clients for payment of the same. Ensuring payment of Tax liability within prescribed time under Finance Act

5.      Preparation and verification of periodic tax returns of all clients and ensure filing of the same within prescribed due dates under the Finance Act

6.      Independently handling department audits of the clients and handling the litigation matter upto tribunal level.

7.      Drafting of opinions/advice note and reply to show cause notices.

8.      Preparation of Facts of Case and Grounds of appeals for filing various appeals

9.      Ability to handle team of junior staff including article trainees

10.  Focus on achieving desired output on each assignment in specified timelines

11.  To keep update of various case laws, statutory changes

 

1.      Mature, proactive, resourceful and hands-on with good initiative

2.      Independent worker who is able to work well with minimal supervision

3.      Ability to understand Tax implications on various transactions and complex business models

4.      Ability to face large corporate clients and build strong relationship with the client’s operational teams

5.      Ability to understand functioning of various ERP systems at clients place i.e. Oracle, SAP etc.

6.      Possess Business Acumen and understand practical aspects of business and tax implications on the same.

7.      To plan various activity in advance and allocate work for smooth & timely execution

8.      Handle the MIS/Billing

9.      Assist with employee training for new hires and ongoing employee training

10.  Strong written and verbal communication
