Mr. Dilip Save is a Graduate in the faculty of Commerce and Law. During his career spanning 38 years with Unilever. He retired as Senior Manager-Indirect Taxation for Unilever Group Companies in India. In his role as Sr. Manager-Indirect Taxation, he was responsible for advising business group on Indirect tax matters, administration and compliance, laying down tax compliant business processes, management of fiscal disputes and leveraging on fiscal benefits. He was a key member of the team at Unilever for re-engineering business processes in preparation for GST. Mr. Save was the Chairman of the Committee on

Indirect Taxation at the Bombay Chamber of Commerce and Industry for the past three years. During his tenure, Mr. Save has assisted various studies on Indirect Tax and simplification of fiscal procedures and responsible for compiling the memorandum on GST to the Ministry of Finance.

 

Major Projects

  • Assisted the Bombay Chamber’s project on preparation of White paper for simplification of central excise law
  • Drafted White paper on GST for Bombay Chamber to the Ministry of Finance
  • Member of the team of ASSOCHAM, to cascade industry acceptable concept of GST across the country.
  • At Unilever executed projects on neutralization of indirect tax exposures and maximization of fiscal benefits
  • At Unilever member of the teams driving re-engineering of business processes at Unilever
